Fill the Bus food drive coming

The sixth-annual Boundary County Fill the Bus
food drive to re-stock shelves at the local food
bank is taking place at all three local grocery
stores on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday,
January 21.
School buses will be at Safeway, Akins Harvest
Foods and Super 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and
everyone is encouraged to bring in
non-perishable food items, to go to the food
bank that very day, because the need for food
doesn't end after the the holidays, but
continues all year.
The fill the bus drive is a project of the
Lewis-Clark State Service Corps/Americorp, and
volunteers are needed to make the drive a
success. Instead of taking the holiday off, what
better way to celebrate than by helping
neighbors?
