What has the school district done to save money? It went to the four-day school week, closed Evergreen School, did not replace retiring personnel, eliminated and consolidated bus routes, reduced spending and sold property. All staff members' salaries were frozen in both 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, and they had a reduction in pay for 2010-2011. How much less does the state fund our district? 2008-2009: $9,77,355 (actual). 2009-2010: $8,835,742 (actual). 2010-2011: $7,897,212 (estimated). 2011-2012: $6,789,895 (estimated). Difference between 2008-2009 and 2011-2012: $2,387,460. |
