School trustees encourage levy vote |
March 5, 2013 |
The Boundary County Board of Trustees wishes to
take this opportunity to inform the public of
the replacement maintenance and operations levy
that will come before the voters March 12, 2013.
This is not a new levy. This replaces the one
that expires in 2013. The trustees are keeping the amount of the levy the same as it has been for the last two years. The trustees understand the economic times that everyone is dealing with and want the voters to know the school district is also feeling the lack of appropriate funding. Your levy dollars would help continue the type of programs that the schools now have and the community knows. The student enrollment still continues to decline, which brings its own financial challenges. The trustees encourage everyone to vote for our students’ futures. |
