Thank you for 20 great years

September 17, 2013 |
It has been my pleasure to serve you veterans
and citizens of Boundary County for the past 20
years through my association with the American
Legion. As Chaplain and Community Liaison
Officer of Boundary Post #55 I have met and
worked with such outstanding people and you are
the ones who make Boundary County such a
wonderful place to live!
Thanks to each of you who so tirelessly strive
every year to make the American Legion’s
Memorial Day events and Veteran’s Day Service
such a whopping success. You make the job of
organizing these events an easy one with your
eager willingness to help our community honor
its veterans.
Thank all of you dedicated folks who faithfully
turn out year after year, no matter what the
weather, to pay respects with your attendance at
these veterans’ events.
Thanks to each of you, private citizens and
local businesses alike, who stepped up when
called upon to erect Bonners Ferry’s huge flag
and create Veterans Memorial Park. You each can
be proud, as am I, to have been a part of this
lasting tribute to our local citizens who
served.
At this time for personal reasons I am stepping
down from my positions with the American Legion.
I do hope all of you will continue to support
our veterans and the American Legion with your
participation and attendance at Legion events.
As for myself, I am hoping to find new venues in
which to continue serving and in some way “pay
back” this community that has given so much to
me and my family.
Thank you all. |
