Branson crowned Distinguished Young Woman

Months of hard work culminated in the glamor and
talent of the 2011 Bonners Ferry Distinguished
Young Woman program (formerly Junior Miss)
Saturday evening in the Becker Auditorium at
Bonners Ferry High School, once again showing
off the spirit and dedication of the young women
who call our community home.
The program raised over $12,000, all of which
goes to scholarships.
You've met the winner and runners up, but every
young lady who took the stage was a star.
Winning the Spirit of DYW award, voted on by her
peers, was Maryrose Hanson. McKenzie Moore won
the "Be Your Best Self" award, Lexi Wages-Shutes
won the grueling interview portion of the
program, Meg Newell won the talent award,
Krystal Flory won the fitness award, Sorrell
Gibbins the self expression award.
In scholastics, Caitlyn Alexander won first and
Katrina Svec won second. |
