CHARLIE PRESTON ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT

The Charlie Preston Environmental Assessment (EA) is complete and is available for public review and comment.  The project includes timber harvest, fuel reduction, tree planting, road construction and reconstruction, road storage and decommissioning, and other aquatic improvements and vegetation management. The project is located on the St. Joe Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forests (IPNF).  The EA, maps, and resource reports are available for review on the IPNF website at: www.fs.usda.gov/goto/ipnf/projects.  Sort by project name then click "Charlie Preston".  For more information contact the St. Joe Ranger District at (208)245-2531. 

The Responsible Official, Forest Supervisor of the IPNF, would like your comments on the EA.

 

Any decision to proceed with actions described in the EA will be subject to administrative appeal pursuant to 36 CFR 215 by any party which has submitted written comments on the EA during the 30-day comment period.

The comment period will start on the day following publication of this legal notice and ends 30 days following the date of publication. Comments received in response to this solicitation, including names and addresses of those who comment, will be considered part of the public record and will be available for public inspection.

 

Comments submitted anonymously will be accepted and considered; however, those who submit anonymous comments will not have standing to appeal the subsequent decision under 36 CFR Parts 215.
