Deep Creek Loop damage has road to one lane

The wet spring weather has brought about damage
to several roads in Boundary County, three of
them meriting a state declaration of disaster.
Deep Creek Loop, just north of Mirror Lake Golf
Course and before the railroad underpass, was
severely weakened in the north-bound lane and
sloughing toward the downhill side, forcing
county road and bridge to section off and close
the lane to traffic.
While vital to the safety of drivers, the sign
wasn't immune to vandals with spray paint, who
"tagged" the signs in both directions. |
