A Bonners Ferry man suffered serious injuries
Monday night in a single vehicle motorcycle
accident on Canyon View Drive.
Kinley Nelson lost control of his 1981 Honda
motorcycle at about 9:40 p.m. He was transported to
Boundary Community Hospital with
life-threatening injuries, and later flown by
MedStar to Kootenai Medical Center.
Nelson worked for many years at Taft's Radio
Shack in downtown Bonners Ferry, and currently
operates his own electronics business. He
operates lights and sound for nearly all
presentations at the Becker Auditorium at
Bonners Ferry High School.
According to Trinity Lutheran Church Pastor
Bruce Barth, who was on his way to Coeur d'Alene
when contacted, there is no medical report
available, but Kinley's injuries were very
critical. His parents, Pastor Larry and Barb
Nelson, joined him at the hospital shortly after
he was transported.
"I think it's safe to say he is fighting for his
life right now," Barth said. "His parents are
with him, and are very appreciative of
everyone's prayers, but right now their thoughts
are focused on Kinley."
According to the Idaho State Police, the
accident is still under investigation. |
