Valley View PTO sprucing up Christmas |
December 7, 2011 |
In the back lot of Valley View Elementary,
between the building itself and the bus barn,
sit a number of stately Colorado blue spruce
trees just waiting to lend a sight and a scent
to make a holiday season special. The trees were donated to the school by the Dinning family, first names not known. Every cent raised from the sale will, therefore, benefit the kids at Valley View. The trees stand anywhere from 6 to 9 feet tall ... all ready to be festooned with trim and memories. The Valley View PTO is asking $30 a tree, but tomorrow and Friday it's on a trust system; drive out, pick up your tree, and go to the Valley View office when you can pay. The sale will continue Saturday and Sunday as well, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. You'd better hurry, though ... only a few beautiful Christmas tress are left, and it's first come, first pick. To find out more or to recieve assurance that the tree you have to have is going to be waiting to grace your home, call Marsha Everhart, (208) 267-8088. |
