Boise,
Idaho – At its winter meeting, the Idaho
Republican State Central Committee, the
governing body of the Idaho GOP, met in
Boise, and reaffirmed its support of a
change to State Party Rules that will move
Idaho’s presidential candidate selection to
Super Tuesday and conduct the nominating
process through a county by county caucus
system.
Idaho will send 32 voting delegates to the
2012 Republican National Convention in
Tampa, which will be more delegates than
Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada.
The Boundary County Republicans will hold
their nomination process at Bonners Ferry
High School in the cafeteria/common room,
with voting commencing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 6.
Only registered Republicans will be able to
vote at the caucus. The doors will open at 5
p.m. for those who need to register to vote
as well as those who just need to complete
the party affiliation form.
Once the voting starts at 6 p.m., the doors
will be closed to anyone not in attendance
or in line at that time.
Certified registrars will be at the caucus
to register voters and you must bring photo
ID or sign an affidavit to register to vote
in Idaho.
Any Republican can also complete the
affiliation form prior to the caucus at the
county clerk’s office. For more details on
voter registration go to:

“The Boundary County Republican Party is
excited for the opportunity to host this
first-of-its-kind Republican Presidential
Caucus in Idaho, and we invite all
Republicans who reside in our county to
participate in this historic event,” said
Boundary County Republican Committee chair
Donna Capurso. “It is truly an honor for the
Boundary County Republicans to have a say on
who our 2012 Presidential nominee will be,
and to which candidate Idaho will send its
32 delegates for support at the 2012
Republican National Convention. I believe
that this Presidential election will be the
most important one ever.”
