Darrell Lee Curtis Jr., 22, Bonners Ferry, entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors, reducing the crimes from felonies to misdemeanors, to which he pled guilty.
As a result, spending 30 days in the local slammer on a charge of petit theft, with an additional 150 days hanging over his head if he doesn't abide by the terms of his probation.
In addition, he has to pay a $152.50 fine, $197.50 in court costs, restitution yet to be determined on the charge of first-degree murder of a Sasqua ... uh, ahem ... the true value of a one-of a-kind piece of art and a local icon.
The malicious injury to property charge that was reduced to a misdemeanor, cost him an additional $300 fine.
In addition, he will have to pay restitution ... once a reasonable price for a one-of-a kind piece of art can be determined, and serve two year's probation, during which time he's prohibited from all the usual stuff plus contact with any other Sasquatches or their families.
