BCMS 'Transition Day' set |

Students and parents of incoming sixth grade
students are invited to attend "Transition Day"
at the Boundary County Middle School from 8 a.m.
to noon Thursday, August 30. Bus transportation to and from the event will be provided, with student pick-ups at Mt. Hall school at 7:15 a.m., and at the Evergreen and Naples Schools at 7:30 a.m. Students will be provided the opportunity to meet and get to know their teachers and fellow students, as well as experience the daily routine and become more comfortable in their new surroundings. That evening the Middle School will be hosting a "Back to School Night" from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for all sixth, seventh and eighth grade parents and students to allow teachers to meet with parents and discuss their classes, expectations and general requirements for the upcoming school year. The goal of this evening is to make the start of the school smoother and more productive. For Middle School athletes, football, cheerleading, volleyball and cross country practices will begin on Thursday, September 5. Students wishing to participate in these activities need to have a current physical exam, proof of insurance and complete the school's forms for participation. Forms are available in the BCMS office, 6577 Main Street, Bonners Ferry. |
