Andrea Kramer was recently awarded the top awards in the International Professional Photography category in a contest sponsored by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. She received her awards at the International Law Enforcement Torch Run Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana last week.

The contest was open to professional and amateur photographers from around the World.

Andrea and her husband, David, are both photographers and owners of Kramer Photography/ Stampede Lake Studio in Naples. Andrea's winning photographs were taken during the International Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics in Greece last summer.

David and Andrea Kramer have also been selected to be the photographers for the International Law Enforcement Torch Run and the International Conference.

They will be travelling to South Korea in January to document the Final Leg that leads up to the opening of the World Special Olympic Games.

The International Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg Team is composed of over 100 law enforcement Officers and 10 Special Olympic Athletes from around the world who will carry the “Flame of Hope” throughout Korea, arriving for the opening ceremonies of the 2013 World Special Olympic Games.

The team will be divided up into two routes, Andrea will be the photographer for one route, and David will be the photographer for the other team.

The third member of the documentation team is from Los Angeles, and he will do video for both routes.

Law enforcement officers have always been the Guardians of the Flame for Special Olympic Athletes.

"This opportunity is amazing," Dave said. "We get to combine our love of photography,  our involvement with law enforcement and our support for Special Olympics all in one event. "
