More winter on the way

Enjoy today's relatively mild conditions ...
according to the National Weather Service,
Spokane, another round of winter is on the way,
and a winter storm watch goes into effect
Wednesday afternoon.
Today could bring a few scattered snow shower,
moreso this afternoon, but with the occasional
sunbreak. While there's a 40-percent chance of
snow this afternoon and evening, accumulations
of less than an inch are predicted, with
overnight low temperatures in the low teens.
Tomorrow temperatures are expected to climb into
the mid to upper 20s, and possible scattered
flurries will become more widespread, bringing
another inch or so to the valleys before
settling in Wednesday evening through about 10
p.m. Thursday, when we could see up to an
additional six to eight inches of new valley
snow before tapering off Friday morning.

The first big snowfall of the season always
creates a mess, but they were all up early
Monday and stayed late getting our highways,
roads and streets cleared and safe.
