First and foremost, a big thank you for
supporting the District Maintenance and
Operations Levy! On behalf of my students and
staff, I offer sincere appreciation and I
applaud the community commitment to the children
of Boundary County.
Now, the next part is this: Hold US TO IT!
The Vision posted by the Idaho State Department
of Education is to “Establish an innovative and
flexible education system that focuses on
results, inspires all students and prepares them
to be successful in meeting today's challenges
and tomorrow's opportunities.”
Here at Valley View, we have dedicated staff
working to make this goal a reality.
With open and honest support from the home, we
will provide an academic program that leads to
future success for all our students. If we work
well together, your children will excel!
As for the on-going problem which has caused
evacuations and an early closure; we need to
stick together!
I am a firm believer things work out for the
best.
The individuals who are causing these
disruptions will come to justice; this will have
a profound effect on their life.
Unfortunately, the young children of our
district have been affected by these thoughtless
acts.
Please rest assured that our staff will take
every precaution to provide a safe, civil and
productive environment for your children. I do
sincerely believe our schools are safe. If my
two boys were still in school (and I wish they
were) I would send them to any BCSD program with
a clear conscience.
Wednesday was the first day of spring and it
entered like a typical spring day in the
Rockies. Please keep in mind the weather
conditions when you send your child to school.
We will continue to enjoy outdoor recess unless
the conditions become extreme. Speaking of
jackets, hats and coats ... it is still best not
to share these items; you know why!
A few student highlights: Katie Clairmont and
Chase Tucker will head down to Coeur d’Alene
this weekend to compete in the Regional Spelling
Bee. Anna Bliss will head to Rexburg to compete
in the Idaho State Geography Bee.
Congratulations and good luck students!
Upcoming Events:
3/25 Last day to purchase a Yearbook
3/28 End of 3rd Quarter
3/30 11:00 Lion’s Club Easter Egg Hunt Boundary
County Fairgrounds
4/1-4 Spring Break—Classes resume April 8. Over

Please continue to collect and save aluminum
cans. We will have a contest in May to see which
class and person can bring in the most
cans. When we recycle the cans, the proceeds go
to the ski scholarship fund, which benefits all
fourth and fifth grade participants in the
school ski program. |
