Work to resume on Highway 95 |
March 27, 2013 |
Crews will resume work on the Chilco to
Silverwood project on U.S. 95 Monday, April 1,
the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The project is expected to be completed by fall
2013. The project has been in winter shutdown since last October. The shoulder will be closed in the southbound lanes between Chilco Road and Ohio Match Road, and at the new wildlife crossing at milepost 444. Work will also resume at the north end of the project (north of Silverwood) as construction begins to build the northbound lanes. Motorists on Parks Road can expect delays. As construction swings into full gear in the coming weeks, motorists are reminded that the speed limit through the work area is 55 mph. The contractor for this $36 million project is Scarsella Brothers, of Seattle, Washington. |
