On November 9, the Bonners Ferry FFA Chapter
held its 65th Annual Harvest Sale at the Bonner
Ferry High School Ag shop. For 65 years the
Harvest Sale has been Bonners Ferry FFA
Chapter’s main fundraiser and the local chapter
has received outstanding support from their
community for each of those years.
On the morning of the sale, the Ag shop looks
just like any other shop filled with welders,
dust, and welding attire, and by the end of the
day it’s transformed into a spectacular venue
for dinner and an auction.
With the generous donations and support we
received from over 90 businesses in Boundary
County the Chapter managed to raise over $7,000
to help better our Agricultural education
throughout the 2013-2014 school year through the
many CDE’s, SAE’s, and Leadership conferences we
attend through the year in Moscow, Boise, Twin
Falls, and Louisville, Kentucky.
The Chapter would like to thank everyone who
attended and helped make the 2013 Harvest Sale a
great success.
“Harvest Sale has been a great opportunity for
FFA members to go outside of their comfort zone
and get to know the community better for over
the past 65 years, it would be impossible to do
without the amazing support from our outstanding
community.” said by Bonners Ferry FFA Chapter
President Gabrielle Munson.
Thank you again for the outstanding support
Boundary County has shown the Bonners Ferry FFA
Chapter in past years, this year, and will show
in future years to come! |
