Flu brings hospital restriction |
January 18, 2014 |
With the coming of the flu season, Boundary
Community Hospital, in a proactive move,
announces a temporary restriction of visitors
under the age of 18 to the hospital and the
Extended Care Facility. "We regret to place any visitor restrictions at Boundary Community Hospital and our Extended Care Facility," stated hospital administrator Craig A. Johnson. "However, with the arrival of influenza in our region, we believe it is best to restrict visitation for individuals less than eighteen years of age. We are instituting this restriction to protect our residents and patients." Boundary Community Hospital is a 20-bed acute care facility with an additional 32 residents in the Extended Care Facility. It has provided continuous community healthcare for 107 years since its inception by Dr. E.E. Fry in 1907. |
