City announces agenda for special meeting on
North Side water |
July 19, 2014 |
Following growing concern among North Side
residents regarding the sanitation of their
water, and after a City Council meeting where
much time was spent in discussion of the
problem, the city set up a special meeting of
the City Council to hear from citizens and to
discuss the City's plans for the North Side
water issue.
That meeting was set for this coming Tuesday,
July 22, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
The City has now released the agenda for that
upcoming Special Meeting. The four items on the
agenda all deal with North Side water, and two
of those items list proposed repairs for the
North Side system. One proposed repair on the
agenda is to "Approve Agreement with Welch Comer
& Associates, Inc. for Evaluation and Design of
Roof for Northside Rectangular Tank." Another
item is "Approve Agreement with Welch Comer &
Associates, Inc. for Services Regarding
Replacement of Waterline to the Northside
Rectangular Tank."
Also listed on the agenda is a period of public
comment, where persons attending the meeting can
take up to five minutes to present their
thoughts and address the City Council.
Presented here is a copy of the public portion
of the agenda for this upcoming meeting:
