Winter storm warning today |

The National Weather Service is continuing its
Winter Storm Warning, in effect this morning
from 7:00 a.m., until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow,
Monday, January 5.
In addition, a Hazardous Weather Outlook is in
effect, as the effects of this winter storm are
anticipated to impact highways and travel.
The weather service is calling for heavy snow
accumulations across most of the Inland
Northwest, with the snow changing to freezing
rain in some areas Sunday afternoon and into
Sunday night.
They are predicting snowfalls of 5 to 11 inches
in the valleys, and 12 to 24 inches in the
mountains. They are projecting the light
snowfall we are now having will increase in
intensity Sunday afternoon and into Sunday
night.
Chance of snow remains at 80% into Tuesday,
dropping to 30% by Tuesday night. Temperatures
for the area are predicted to be in the mid
twenties to low thirties. |
