Hospital's Extended Care Facility temporarily closed to visitors due to influenza outbreak |
January 9, 2015 |
Currently, Boundary Community Hospital’s
Extended Care Facility is under visitation
restriction to protect the facility residents
and the general public from influenza. There are
two confirmed cases of influenza in the Extended
Care Facility. These two residents are in
isolation and all safety protocol is being
followed. The influenza is being tested to
identify the particular strain. The public is requested not to visit the Extended Care Facility at this time. Visitation restrictions do not apply to the hospital's regular Acute Care area, the Emergency Room, or the Outpatient Clinic. Boundary Community Hospital will keep the public informed as more information is available. If you have any questions, please call Mila Russell, Infection Control Nurse, (208) 267-3141 ext 4268. |
