Rotary Club celebrates local law enforcement
April 14, 2015
It was a packed house at the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club's First Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner. The flag ceremony for the evening was provided by Boundary County Law Enforcement Explorer Post #190. The group did a fabulous job at the ceremony, according to those in attendance.

Emcee Michael Meier, Boundary County Public Information Officer, opened the evening, which started with a slide show of local law enforcement people who have served here over the years, followed by a video giving thanks "to Cops from non-Cops." These multimedia presentations were presented by Dave Kramer.

Boundary County Chief Deputy Rich Stephens was recognized at the event as Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. He received a glass plaque and much appreciative applause from those in attendance.

Though the audience was hoping for more, Mr. Meier limited himself to only two cop jokes.

Keynote speaker for the event was Idaho Attorney General Lawrence G. Wasden.
