Free sports physicals coming up |
July 15, 2015 |
by Marcia Morman Boundary Community Hospital Director of Marketing and Community Relations Boundary Community Hospital’s Medical Staff and hospital employees are volunteering their time so youth in Boundary County participating in sports receive a free physical. Each year physicals are required for students who are entering grades 7, 9, 11, and are participating in any sports including cheerleading and dance. A physical is also required of those new to the sports programs, which includes any who did not have a physical last year no matter what the current grade. The physical must occur before the first practice starts. This is a one-night only event. Students are encouraged to attend. The Sports Clinic is between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 on a first-come, first-served basis. It is not required to arrive at 5:00 p.m. Students will travel through six testing stations and finish with a quick visit with the doctor. The visit with the doctor is private behind closed doors and the weight scales are in a secluded place. The Sports Physical Clinic is in the Outpatient Clinic area of Boundary Community Hospital. Come in “the back way” to the hospital and enter through the double doors. Parents, and or guardians, must be present with the student for registration at the Sports Clinic. If you have a question, please call Bonners Ferry High School, (208) 267-3149 or Marcia Morman, Boundary Community Hospital Director of Marketing and Community Relations, (208) 267-6912. |
