Nancy Reagan |
March 7, 2016 |
President Barack Obama has issued a proclamation
requesting that flags of the United States be
flown at half-staff in respect for former First
Lady Nancy Reagan.
Ms. Reagan died yesterday at her home in Los
Angeles at age 94, with cause of death given as
congestive heart failure.
The presidential proclamation requests that
flags be flown at half-staff beginning today,
March 7, and continue at half-staff until
sundown of the day of burial. At this time,
specific dates and details of the funeral and
burial have not been announced, although
officials at the Ronald Reagan Presidential
Library in Simi Valley, California have
announced that she will be buried next to her
husband, President Ronald Reagan, later this
week on the grounds of the Library.
