Panhandle Health District seeking participants
in local cancer research study |
March 17, 2016 |
Panhandle
Health District is now recruiting adults who
have faced any type of cancer to participate in
a local research study. Cancer survivors,
patients, parents of children diagnosed with
cancer and other family members directly
impacted are invited to participate in
individual interviews - sharing their
experiences pertaining to cancer prevention
services, diagnosis, and community support.
Information collected will act as fundamental
data for the development of future cancer
prevention and treatment programs in northern
Idaho. Interviews conducted will require 20-30 minutes, and any personal health information is protected and kept completely confidential. Panhandle Health District is seeking participants from each of Idaho’s five northern counties. Eligible volunteers can be men or women, but must be at least 18 years of age, and residents of either Kootenai, Shoshone, Benewah, Boundary, or Bonner Counties. Interviews will be scheduled through April 2016 and may be conducted in person or over the phone.
