Two Coeur d'Alene men found the body just after noon October 25 while walking on Forest Service Road 437 and notified authorities. On the evening of Saturday, October 22, the Post Falls Police Department was informed that William “Bo” Kirk was last seen at his place of work, Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, at approximately 7 p.m. He was expected home at around 7:20 p.m., but did not arrive. Kirk's silver 2015 GMC pickup was reportedly spotted with two people inside at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at two different bank ATMs, and Kirk's debit card was used at both to withdraw cash. At approximately 9:43 p.m., Timberlake Fire and Rescue responded to a vehicle on fire in the 23000 block of North Rimrock Road on the north end of Kootenai County. Emergency responders arrived on scene to find the pickup fully engulfed. The pickup was registered to Kirk and it was the vehicle he had driven to work that day. Kirk's body was discovered about eight miles away. Multiple agencies, including Post Falls Police, the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, Coeur d'Alene Police, the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force and the FBI, are investigating Kirk's death, and anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (208) 446-1400. |
