The first of two days of the annual Night of
Nativities is underway and continues until 9
tonight at the LDS Church, 6568
Alderson Lane, Bonners Ferry. There is no charge
for admission.
Over 200 beautiful nativity sets are on display,
from around the world, all unique in nature,
many loaned by people in our community and some
specially loaned by people from other states.
In addition to the nativities, special musical
performances will take place during the evening.
Tonight's performances include:
• 6 p.m. - Snapshot, a female quartet from
Spokane
• 6:30 p.m. - Glenda Novinger, owner of Novinger
Piano Conservatory in Bonners Ferry, with a
piano performance
• 7 p.m. - The Four Saxes, a saxophone group
performance
• 7:30 p.m. - Melanie Hogan and David Carpenter
with a duet musical performance
The community is invited. There is no particular
organized presentation or agenda. All you need
to do is show up, wander all over taking in the
hundreds of beautifully displayed nativity sets,
enjoy the musical performances if you wish, and
leave when you are ready to go.
The Night of Nativities will continue Saturday,
December 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. |
