Local man missing after falling in Kootenai |
December 7, 2016 |
Lincoln County, Montana, authorities are
continuing to search for a 41-year-old Bonners
Ferry man who fell into the Kootenai River
Tuesday night as he and his fiancé were scouting
a spot to be married.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said Trevor
Applegate fell into the river at about 5:20 p.m.
December 6, prompting a call out of deputies and
members of Troy volunteer ambulance and the
David Thompson Search and Rescue team, with
people combing the banks and manning watercraft.
As of late this afternoon, no trace of Applegate
has been found. The search is being made even
more difficult by high water on the river,
rugged terrain and by cold temperatures. |
