Boundary County Dispatch received a call shortly
after 2 p.m. Wednesday of a house fire located
at 500 Curley Creek Road. Sheriff’s deputies,
Curley Creek Fire, and Boundary Ambulance were
all dispatched to the scene.
According to a press release issued by Boundary
County, Jimmy Robinson, the owner of the
manufactured home, reported he had awakened from
a nap with smoke in the dwelling. He found the
kitchen ceiling ablaze, and before he could get
clear, part of the ceiling collapsed, hitting
him. Robinson crawled to a neighbor’s house and
the call was made to dispatch.
The home was a total loss and Robinson suffered
burns to his hands and head.
No cause of the fire has been determined at this
time, and the fire remains under investigation
by Sheriff’s Office investigators and the fire
marshal. |
