The Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) invites the
public to participate in judging posters
submitted by Boundary County elementary school
students for a Smokey Bear coloring contest.
Judging began this morning and goes through
Friday, May 12, at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to
participate in the judging.
The Smokey Bear posters are on display in the
IDL office located at 6327 Main Street in
Bonners Ferry.
The IDL is holding the Smokey Bear coloring
contest for Boundary County elementary school
students who are in grades kindergarten through
second grade. As fire season nears, the coloring
contest is a way to get youth thinking about
fire prevention.
There will be first, second, and third place
winners for each grade level at each school.
The public can call the IDL office in Bonners
Ferry at (208) 267-5577 for more details. |
