Schweitzer opening earliest in 20 years |

It's opening day at Schweitzer Mountain Resort,
and they are off to a great start this season
with the earliest opening they've had in 20
years! The mountain is in good shape with the
recent snow fall and all the work our snow
making and grooming crew has been doing.
The day is looking good with a few clouds
hanging around the summit but those at the top
can see all the way to the top of the Basin
Express.
Today and Sunday, November 18-19, Schweitzer
Mountain Resort will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. with limited operations on Basin Express,
Musical Chairs and Magic Carpet only.
Discounted lift ticket pricing will be in effect
- $45 for full day tickets. Ticket prices will
change when more terrain and lifts are added to
the operations schedule!
After the weekend, they will close mid-week,
November 20 to 23, and reopen on Friday,
November 24, for the Thanksgiving Holiday
weekend. Monday, November 27, they will again
close for mid-week, then re-open on Friday,
December 1, with their full seven day winter
schedule!
In the past 48 hours, nine inches of new snow
has fallen on the mountain, today skies are
partly cloudy, visibility is clear and the
skiing good!
They are planning on adding terrain as
conditions allow so continue to check in with us
