Coeur d'Alene youth killed in I90 crash |

A Coeur d'Alene youth was killed in a crash on
I-90 last night after the driver of the vehicle
the child was in attempted to pass
another car and lost control.
According to the Idaho State Police, Jonah Z.
Leeder, 20, Coeur d'Alene, was driving a green
1995 Acura Integra east at about 10:39 p.m.
Friday near mile 13 when he attempted to
pass another vehicle and spun out, coming to a
stop perpendicular to traffic in the right lane.
William E. Swan, 45, Coeur d'Alene, driving a
gold 2000 Chevy Silverado pickup, also
eastbound, was unable to stop and T-boned the
Acura on the passenger door.
The youth, whose name and gender has not been
released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Leeder was transported to Kootenai Health for
his injuries. All three involved were wearing
seatbelts. |
