Leanna was born on November 3, 1940, in Bonners Ferry to Theodore Leon and Annie Ellena (Dunning) Slater. She attended Boundary County School District until she married Donald Arthur Morice on November 30, 1957.
Survivors include her husband Don, of Bonners Ferry, daughter Linda of Seattle, son Donald (Jim) of Belle Chase, Louisiana, and daughter Nancy Carlson of Bonners Ferry, grandchildren Gregg Carlson of Bonners Ferry, Kelly Carlson, Lake Stevens, Washington, Heather (Morice) and husband Nathan Turner of Arnett, Oklahoma, and Amanda (Mandy) Morice, Orange Park, Florida.
Leanna is preceded in death by her parents Ted and Ellena Slater and her brother Ted Slater of California.
