Dugger graduates West Point

Bonners Ferry High School graduate Zachary
Dugger graduated from the U.S. Military Academy
at West Point May 21 and was commissioned a
second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. After leave,
during which he plans to marry Riley Boorman, he
will report to Fort Rucker, Alabama, for flight
training.
During graduation ceremonies, Dugger was
presented his Bachelor of Science degree in
systems engineering. During his four years at
the academy, Dugger earned Dean's List honors
all eight academic semesters and finished with a
3.26 quality point average to graduate in the
top one-third of his class.
While a cadet, Dugger earned his parachutists
wings after three weeks at the Basic Airborne
Course in Fort Benning, Georgia, and completed
the prestigious Cavalry Spur Ride at Fort Knox,
Kentucky, earning the right to wear cavalry
spurs and a Steston. |
