Locals shine in U of I art contest

The University of Idaho recently announced the
winners of the 23rd Annual High School Art
Competition sponsored by the College of Art and
Architecture’s Art and Design program, including
two from Boundary County.
Artwork from participating high schools was
exhibited in Ridenbaugh Hall on the UI campus
through February 28. And an awards reception was
held February 21.
First place winner of a $1,000 University of
Idaho Scholarship and $150 gift certificate was
Ginerva Atti, Skyview High School, Nampa. Orion
Goetzinger, Sandpoint High School, won the
People’s Choice Award and an iPad.
Taking third place and a $75 gift certificate
was Johnny Gatens and an honorable mention went
to Anika Blackmore, both of Bonners Ferry High
School. |
