School District announces Employees of the Month
December 2, 2015
Boundary County School District 101 November 2015 Certified Employee of the Month
Mrs. Kari Dameron has been teaching within Boundary County School District for the past two years and educates kindergarten students at Valley View Elementary School.

She is a great communicator who has a heart for students, the school, and the community as a whole. The staff at Valley View Elementary School really appreciate her calm, patient, and friendly personality. She happily volunteers to take on various additional responsibilities within the school while still doing an exceptional job within her classroom.

A kindergarten student was interviewed recently and stated, “I love that Mrs. Dameron helps us learn to read and that she makes me smile every day.”

Anyone that watches Mrs. Dameron in class can tell that she has found her calling in life as it is abundantly obvious that she has a passion for her students. When asked what Mrs. Dameron enjoys the most about her job she stated, “building relationships with the students.”

Mrs. Dameron has a husband, 6 year old son, and a 2 year daughter that all call Bonners Ferry home. In her free time she finds pleasure being in the mountains enjoying both hiking and skiing. Boundary County School District 101 is very lucky to have Mrs. Dameron in our district educating minds and enhancing lives.

Boundary County School District 101 November 2015 Classified Employee of the Month

by Lisa Iverson, Principal
Naples Elementary and Mt. Hall Elementary Schools

A huge congrats goes to Roy Hale, the Boundary County School District’s Classified Employee of the Month for November. Roy lives in Bonners Ferry with his wife, Marianne. Together they have two sons, Rhett and Ryan.

Roy has worked at Naples Elementary since July. He is the only custodian for Naples Elementary. When I asked Roy what the favorite part of his job is, he replied, “It’s being there for people when they need me.”

From the very beginning, the staff has been very excited to have Roy on board. He is doing a great job keeping the school clean and operating smoothly. More importantly, Roy has really embraced becoming a Wolverine. The students adore him. Just this past Halloween, Roy dressed up as the Incredible Hulk. Needless to say, it was a huge hit amongst the kids.

Don’t be fooled by the Hulk resemblance. Roy is one of the kindest and most caring people I know. As the principal, I really appreciate all Roy does for Naples Elementary. Roy takes a lot of pride in his work, he cares about the students and staff, and he’s always willing to help in any way he can.

Thank you, Roy! You make Naples Elementary a great place to learn, play, and grow!
