Spaghetti fundraiser to help local cancer
patients |
September 21, 2017 |
The Bonners Ferry Women’s Cancer Support Group
will be holding their annual spaghetti dinner
from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 5, at the
Chic-n-Chop Restaurant. Tickets are $5 at the
door.
This is one of the main fundraisers the Bonners
Ferry Women’s Cancer Support Group has each
year.
Safeway donates the bread and Litehouse donates
the salad dressings. The rest of the dinner,
including labor, is donated by Ron from
Chic-n-Chop.
The group's other main fundraiser is the raffle
of a quilt made and donated each year by Arden
Bauman.
Other money raised comes from generous donations
of individuals and groups. All of the money
received goes to provide gas vouchers to local
people having to travel out of town for cancer
treatments.
So far this year they have been able to provide
$6,000 in gas vouchers.
This support group meets at noon on the fourth
Monday of every month at Panhandle Health
Office. |
