Girls 7th, boys 9th at state track |

The Badger girls finished in seventh place at
Bronco's Stadium Saturday at the state 3A track
and field tournament, and the boys finished
ninth, led by Courtney Tucker's second place
finish in the 400-meter run. Tucker had a good tournament, with a seventh place finish in the 100-meter and an eighth place finish in the 200-meters. Elizabeth Racer finished in eighth place for the Badgers in the 400 meters, and the Badger girls relay teams finished in sixth place in both the 4x200 and the 4x400. Timberlake won the girls state 3A championship, followed by Buhl and Kimberly. Kellogg finished in 13th place, Priest River in 15th. On the boys side, Rock Stapley posted fourth place finishes in both the 100 and 200-meter races, and Micah Krmpotich posted a fifth place finish in the 1,600-meter run. Buhl took the top spot in the boys 3A competition, followed by Payette, second, and Salmon and Kimberly, tied for third place. Kellogg finished the meet in eighth place, Priest River in 13th and St. Maries in 16th place. |
